Arslucis

The Arslucis is not a simple lamp, but an original and valuable work of art, which elegantly enhances the famous centuries old art of Fabriano’s watermarks, depicting classical masterpieces handmade by the master paper-makers of Fabriano. It is a product of artistic craftsmanship by Alessio Ricciotti traditionally made entirely by hand with meticulous attention to detail, from the choice of wood to the finishing.

Arslucis is currently available in the following colours with antique finish:

a.old rose – b. ivory – c. green – d.  yellow – e. heavenly

The artistic watermarks are offered, signed and certified, representing four different subjects:

1. Boy with a Basket of Fruit by Michelangelo Merisi said Caravaggio (1593- 1594), Galleria Borghese, Rome;

2.Primavera by Sandro Botticelli (1482 on), Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence;

3. Tondo Doni by Michelangelo Buonarroti (1506- 1508), Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence;

4. Madonna of the Chair by Raffaello Sanzio (1513- 1514), Galleria Palatina in Palazzo Pitti, Florence.

The subjects can be combined at will, allowing different combinations: the same subject on all four sides or each side with a different subject. By using bulbs with different brightness, it is possible to achieve different lighting effects, from a warmer light to a cooler one. The flower’s shape carving, positioned on the upper body of the lamp, allows the projection of beams of light, which will enhance the surrounding environment with great charm.

In addition, the Arslucis base is independent from the rest of the lamp, thus allowing the lamp to easily rotate on its axis in order to view a preferred watermark.
